"Had another fabulous time at the Elsted, staff can't do enough for you, the breakfast is really nice and sourced locally. Thanks once again. Lovely atmosphere with a good selection on the bar and food as well, what more could anybody want."

"Roast dinner winner. Welcoming staff, quick to provide a really good service. This pub held a good range of beers and ciders. The roast was tasty and well cooked, good value for this area too."

"Found Elsted Inn by chance while staying over in Midhurst. We were made very welcome right away by friendly staff. Food and surroundings were spot on. The landlady made a point of introducing herself to us and was genuinely keen to ensure we enjoyed our meals - which we did! Food was delicious and well presented. My steak was cooked well and enormous! Happy to recommend Elsted and hope they enjoy continued success."

"Really pleased with the new people that have this pub! Great atmosphere and great food and good selection of beers, would recommend to anyone for a lunch or evening meal. Bed and breakfast is good value for money. If you are down in Sussex, come for lunch or supper!!"

I find pubs like this more of a rarity nowadays. The meal was lovely, with good beers on offer and nice decor. It's quite far from us so can't make it a regular haunt but if in the area again we will definitely be back!

“Passing through on the way home we needed a pit stop for food and drink. The Elsted Inn more than delivered. Food was honest and good quality pub grub, the likes you hope to see more often but not delivered by the chains and pub co's dominating the market. Lovely pint of Otter, delicious burger and BLT and really happy, attentive and genuinely enthusiastic service and landlordship, without ever being intrusive or OTT. Would highly recommend and will return next time we're in the area or planning a walk in this part of the Downs”

"Just how a pub should be. Good range of beers and food well cooked and tasty; staff genuinely friendly and good fun; surroundings, warm and comfortable, with great atmosphere, and set in a beautiful unspoiled part of the South Downs. One of a fast disappearing breed of pubs that have avoided the temptation to go corporate and abandon the local drinker in favour of becoming just a restaurant. But a great place to finish a walk or just have your Sunday lunch."

"Return visit to call in for Sunday lunch. Friendly and attentive bar staff. Thanks to Charlie the chef for accommodating special requests. Recommend pork belly."
